Roseville Learning and Assessment Centre is founded on the need to personalise learning for children and young adult. Personalised learning is simply about tailoring student learning to match their learning needs and providing specific support according to learning styles and personal learning interests. We are committed to providing a personalised learning approach for all our students.
Our personalised learning approach follows examples of best practice globally and work is to achieve the learning outcomes set in Cambridge Curriculum/Nigerian studies by supporting each student’s learning needs. We do this by gauging entry criteria, identifying learning levels and using such assessment to develop a personal learning plan and to set targets for learners and teachers to aim for.
Learners are empowered and involved in their learning journey. We encourage our learners to work with their teachers to set learning targets, evaluate their progress and become key drivers in their learning so that it becomes meaningful, valuable and personal to them.
Its success depends on knowing each child well through rigorous assessment for learning and on nurturing positive relationships between teachers and pupils, which will enable our children to know themselves well as learners.
We have a well-structured international curriculum based which means our students don’t just meander their way through an aimless curriculum. We have in place with learning expectations supported by high levels of monitoring and intervention within a range of flexible learning environments.
